LIMCOM successfully convenes informative webinar

Alignment and harmonization of individual workstreams as well as counterpart workstreams by all technical partners of the UNDP-GEF Limpopo project is critical to the success of the project.

The Limpopo Watercourse Commission (LIMCOM) successfully held its inaugural webinar on the Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA) for the Limpopo River Basin (LRB) on 5 September 2024.

This insightful webinar series brought together more than 120 participants drawn from a wide range of sectors including LIMCOM Member States namely Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe; International and Regional Organizations, Civil Society, Academia, River Basin Organizations, Media, and the Private Sector.

The webinar provided a unique opportunity for stakeholders to get a better understanding of the processes and preliminary findings of the TDA for the LRB and explore the enhancement of the subsequent analysis during the finalization of the TDA and the formulation of a Strategic Action Programme (SAP) for the LRB.

The webinar was held in partnership with the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA), and with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), under the project “Integrated Transboundary River Basin Management for the Sustainable Development of the Limpopo River Basin”.
